In ''Spaces and Events'' essay by Bernard Tschumi, he states that architecture and events that happen in them cannot be separated from each other. They differ in different occasions and he says in his another article ‘’Murder in the Street, is different from murder in the cathedral’’ which i found when i was searching this subject and impressed me a lot. According to this article, Tschumi is uncomfortable with the change of the meaning of architecture which was turned into a system of surface signs at the risk of contrasting relationship of spaces and events. He wants us to question wheter there is a loss of innocence in architecture, and architects behave subjective according to their ideology or not. As for Tschumi, they ignore to question the nature of architecture but attribute a meaning to their buildings with metaphorical elements. He made me think about the photography as documentation of architecture by saying that reality can be manipulated by the maker of what has been done. Similarly, he states that stories can be manipulated easily and it makes sense to architects behave in the same way and with this explanation, he made somethings more clear and understandable. Some of the examples that he gives are very interesting and worth considering as well: ''pole vaulting in the chapel, sky diving in the elevator shaft and using Palladian arch for an athletic club altering both Palladio and the nature of the athletic event''. His idea about movement is also challenging, stating that body movements in space, the language of them and the language of walls are complementary.
